Importance of the Day of Arafah

The Day of Arafah is one of the most significant days in the Islamic calendar, falling on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. It holds great importance for Muslims around the world, particularly for those performing Hajj.

Fasting on the Day of Arafah

Fasting on the Day of Arafah is a confirmed Sunnah for those who are not performing Hajj. It is strongly recommended and has numerous virtues, as described in the hadith of Abu Qatadah. Fasting on this day is believed to expiate sins for two years.

Fasting on the Day of Ashura
